Job Overview:

The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions, with a focus on procurement activities and strategies. To be considered, a candidate must have proven work experience as a Data Analyst and a solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices. This is a new role that offers a chance to apply your data analysis skills to support and enhance the procurement function, and to grow your career within a dynamic and expanding Procurement team.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Partner independently and with stakeholders to translate data and information into actionable insights and recommendations for procurement optimization and cost reduction.
  • Report and analyze data from accounts payable, travel and expense, contracts, suppliers, and other sources related to procurement activities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and trends to the head of procurement and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve the data volume, velocity, variety, and veracity.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation based on data analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Aggregate and perform data analysis on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
  • Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and update data as needed.
  • Interpret data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems, or suggest areas for process improvement.
  • Support Data Governance and Data Privacy activities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize procurement performance, efficiency, and savings.
  • Support the design and implementation of new procurement processes and systems.
  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators and track progress against targets.
  • Collaborate with procurement team and other business units to identify and resolve data issues and gaps.
Education & Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in procurement or supply chain management.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in procurement and data analysis.
  • Experience with procurement systems and tools is a plus.
Required Skills:
  • To be considered, a candidate must have proven work experience as a Data Analyst and a solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant volumes of data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Efficient with regards to time management.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines with short turnaround times.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to produce results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

The national average salary for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
