Clinical Specialist

As a Clinical Specialist with BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of donors at our plasma donation centers. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results under the guidance of the Center Manager for operational guidance and the management of the Center Physician for medical issues.
Your key responsibilities as a Clinical Specialist will include evaluating donor reactions, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medical emergencies, and referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary. Additionally, you will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, determining whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements, is mandatory. You must also be currently licensed or certified in the state where your responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Furthermore, you must have current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification and fulfill state requirements (in the state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
