Job Overview

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team dedicated to expanding our Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) services to government customers.

About the Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our government customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions for government customers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with EC2 services.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our cloud infrastructure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • A current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have experience with:

  • Powershell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java.
