The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University is seeking applications for a Full-Time Tenure-Track position for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing's RN to BSN Online Degree Program.

We are looking for candidates with expertise in areas such as general medical-surgical nursing, community health, pathophysiology, global health, nursing leadership, and research experience in both educational and clinical settings.

Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience in classroom instruction, simulation, online teaching, and clinical education, as well as those engaged in active professional nursing practice.



Key Responsibilities:
The teaching load will typically consist of 24 credit hours or the equivalent per academic year. The role will involve delivering online didactic courses, with opportunities for virtual simulation and preceptorship courses.

Expected teaching areas include pathophysiology, advanced assessment, healthcare systems, global health, health promotion, and additional subjects as required.

This position will be part of the RN to BSN Online Program. Additional responsibilities may arise based on departmental and program needs, including committee service and academic advising as outlined in the faculty contract.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing, with a preference for a Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, PhD, or EdD), and have prior teaching experience in nursing.

An active, unencumbered Vermont RN license or eligibility for such a license is mandatory. A valid driver's license is also required.

Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience as per the VSC-VSCFF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
