About the Role

We are seeking two highly skilled Thoracic Surgeons to join our esteemed team at the Norton Thoracic Institute (NTI), a division of Dignity Health/CommonSpirit Health. As a Thoracic Surgeon with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional clinical care to patients with thoracic diseases in a collaborative and collegial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex thoracic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of pulmonologists, critical care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in thoracic surgery and patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical research programs and protocols to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of thoracic surgery.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior surgeons and other healthcare professionals to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-approved General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship (or an I-6 Tract equivalent).
  • Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure.
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals.
  • A passion for providing superb clinical care in a collaborative team-based setting.
  • Strong alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Common Spirit Health.
