The Torrington Public School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team in the Voices Program. As a Paraprofessional, you will work under the direction of a certified teacher to support students with disabilities in small groups or individually, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of instructional programs and activities for students with disabilities.
- Provide individualized support to students, reinforcing instruction and promoting academic and social growth.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress and activities.
- Assist in the maintenance of materials, equipment, and supplies for the Voices Program.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working in a school setting. The successful candidate will be required to work a standard school day, with occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
