Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Class A CDL Shuttle Transfer Operator to join our team at Ryder. This role involves the efficient transportation of equipment between various facilities, ensuring timely and safe operations.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $21
Weekly Pay Schedule
Work Schedule:
Local routes with daily home time
Shift: Monday to Friday, with no weekend work
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
All operators benefit from 24/7 roadside assistance provided by trained technicians, along with fueling services at our extensive maintenance facilities.
Route Details:
Shuttle operations involve moving empty trailers for equipment transfer between customer locations.

At Ryder, we empower our drivers to make informed decisions regarding driving conditions to ensure safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21
- Successful completion of a drug test
- Background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
- Passing a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements
- Verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or similar vehicle:
- 9 months within the last 3 years, OR
- 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret laws, regulations, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
This role primarily involves the safe operation of a commercial vehicle, adhering to safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and delivering excellent customer service.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Performing other assigned tasks as necessary.
