We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team of travel healthcare professionals. As a travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging, as well as confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining imaging procedures to patients.

As a travel MRI Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and locations, including hospitals and medical facilities. You will be responsible for loading and operating power injectors for contrast media administration, evaluating MRI scans for technical quality, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements for this position include ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, as well as state-specific licensing when required. You must also have BLS certification and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed, and per protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
