Culinary Service Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food service. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch food offerings promptly and with a friendly demeanor. The individual will play a key role in supporting the Retail Store Manager in upholding the highest standards of food quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all customers warmly to create a positive atmosphere.
- In the food service area, adhere strictly to recipes and food preparation guidelines, ensuring proper wrapping and labeling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food presentation and workspaces, following established food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Efficiently operate the cash register, processing transactions with a friendly approach to minimize customer wait times.
- Oversee the cleanliness and overall appearance of the food service area.
- Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor, including refrigerated and hot food displays, ensuring stock rotation and availability to meet customer demands.
- Exemplify the Company values, policies, and procedures in all actions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager or designated supervisor.
- Ability to fulfill the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodations.
Working Relationships: Collaborate with store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, and various corporate personnel and vendors.

Preferred: High School diploma or GED
Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Not applicable
Preferred: 3-6 months of experience in retail or customer service within the food industry.
Certifications and Skills:
ServSafe/Food Safety certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Comfortable engaging with customers and team members.
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Ability to transition between tasks efficiently.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to assist others.
- Basic computer skills are beneficial.
Scheduling: This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as locations may operate 24 hours.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, and work in cooler environments.
Additional Information: Specialized attire is required in food service settings.
Desired Previous Experience: A high school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant retail experience is preferred. Proficient computer skills and current Food Safety Certification are advantageous.
