POSITION OVERVIEW: The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in strategizing, organizing, directing, and coordinating the sales activities within a designated division. This position is crucial for executing sales strategies aimed at maximizing sales volume, driving profitable growth, and fostering the professional development of the sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive business strategies and sales plans that align with the overall operational objectives of the business unit.
  • Develop sales forecasts and maintain accountability for achieving sales targets, including key performance metrics.
  • Lead a team of sales and administrative personnel, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management; conduct regular field training sessions with sales staff.
  • Support new customer acquisition, bid preparation, and customer retention initiatives.
  • Conduct regular meetings with sales personnel to review sales activities, customer retention efforts, and performance against goals.
  • Proactively engage with assigned accounts to identify customer needs and resolve potential issues.
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership to establish pricing strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive behaviors to anticipate customer needs and manage the customer base effectively.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's services and pricing structures to assist sales personnel in various selling scenarios.
  • Complete all required sales reports accurately and promptly.
  • Review Customer Service Agreements for compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial sales role.
  • Proven experience in developing effective sales strategies.
  • Strong presentation skills; confident and assertive demeanor.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage all levels of management.
  • Strong active listening skills, demonstrating attentiveness and understanding.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a sales role, including leadership or supervisory experience.
