Job Overview:

The Neurologist will provide non-surgical specialty care for disorders of the brain and peripheral nerves. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze patient medical histories to identify potential neurological disorders
  • Consult with patients' primary care physicians to coordinate care and develop treatment plans
  • Order and interpret EEG, laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat patients
  • Determine a diagnosis and plan of care for each patient, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances
  • Partner with other members of the care team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients
  • Complete all electronic health record (EHR) documentation and administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-approved residency in neurology
  • Board certification or board eligibility in neurology
  • Valid DEA registration and New York medical license
  • BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of post-residency experience
  • Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration
  • Familiarity with the NextGen EHR
  • Experience working with the I/DD patient population
Compensation:

$/hr.
