Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Thrive Pet Healthcare. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to pets in our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to hospitalized patients, including medication administration, fluid monitoring, and vital parameter monitoring.
- Triage incoming emergencies and discharge outpatient and hospitalized patients.
- Monitor emergency surgeries and procedures, and assist with recovery from anesthesia.
- Perform technical skills such as placement of intravenous catheters, medical math, radiography, and troubleshooting fluid pumps.
- Assist in maintaining relevant medical records and use safe restraining techniques.
- At least 2 years of recent experience at a veterinary practice.
- Veterinary technician licensure preferred, but not required.
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and experience with animal restraint.
