Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Technician to join our dynamic team at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital & Referral Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
About the Role:
- Provide high-quality patient care, including anesthesia and technical support
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork and communication
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and other medical staff with patient care and procedures
- Operate medical equipment, including anesthesia machines and monitoring devices
- Develop and implement patient care plans, in collaboration with veterinarians and other medical staff
- Provide education and support to clients on animal care and health
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements:
- Advanced anesthetic experience and technical skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in scheduling, including occasional later hours
- Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks
