ALTA IT Services, LLC is on the lookout for an experienced Ab Initio Administrator to join our innovative IT team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the administration of the ETL tool (Ab Initio) within a cloud environment. The Senior Ab Initio ETL Administrator will engage in hands-on activities while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and engineering of relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RDS, and DB2, along with Big Data systems such as Cloudera Data Platform.
- Implement automation tools like Ansible and Terraform to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the deployment of Data Integration and Data Warehouse solutions for data products in cloud environments.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines, transitioning data from on-premises systems to cloud storage solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Hive, HDFS, and other components impacting data workflows.
- Utilize scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation and process optimization.
- Oversee the management of metadata hubs and operational consoles, ensuring smooth functionality.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, providing expert insights and feedback on design considerations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ETL administration, specifically with Ab Initio.
- Proficient in the Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment (GDE) and related tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and containerization technologies is advantageous.
