Senior Database Administrator

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join one of its largest global airline clients. This role will involve working with a team of experienced DBAs to design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable database infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server and experience with cloud-based database platforms. They will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of the database, as well as implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing database architectures
  • Ensuring database performance and availability
  • Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data
  • Collaborating with the development team to ensure database compatibility
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the team

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a database administration role
  • Strong background in SQL Server and cloud-based database platforms
  • Experience with database performance optimization and security
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
