Job Overview

Position: Registered Behavior Technician

Reporting Structure:

  • Directly reports to the Clinical Director and Practice Manager.
  • Collaborates with staff, external providers, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college experience is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain RBT certification.
  • CPR and first aid certifications are required.
  • Crisis prevention certification as designated by the organization is necessary.
  • Adhere to supervision requirements set by the BACB and maintain credentials.
  • Background check clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Deliver direct therapy in both individual and group environments.
  • Ensure ongoing supervision and engagement with clients during therapy sessions.
  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) teaching methodologies.
  • Conduct health checks on clients at the start of each session.
  • Collect and analyze data on client behaviors.
  • Assist in individualized assessments and functional analysis procedures.
  • Prepare and follow skill acquisition plans as required.

Professional Conduct:

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and participate in staff meetings.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client dignity.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory documentation requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities as required by the role.
  • Ability to lift and support clients as necessary.
