About the Role
At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment for our team members. As an Equipment Technician - OR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as the primary point of contact for equipment-related issues in the operating room.
- Collaborate with nurses and medical staff to resolve technical problems and ensure seamless surgical procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and testing of equipment, including microscopes, lasers, and video systems.
- Coordinate with the Biomedical and Maintenance departments to ensure timely delivery and repair of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area and restock equipment as needed.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and dignity.
- Adhere to our organization's standards and competencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of hospital experience preferred.
