About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Biomedical Engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining clinical equipment and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on biomedical equipment, including installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify equipment needs and provide solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical equipment technologies and industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical equipment, including electro-mechanical systems and devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid US State Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AS/BS Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Electronic Technology.
  • Experience in a hospital or industrial environment with experience in hospital-related equipment.
