Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure clients comply with all applicable tax authorities while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens.
  • Prepare and review tax returns using a system of review and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Associates to complete projects and deliver high-quality tax compliance services.
  • Lead complex engagements with a team of tax professionals and manage the engagement, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective tax strategies for clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Mentor teams of Associates and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, preferred.
  • More than two (2) years of prior tax experience, required.
  • Financial Services industry experience supporting Alternative Investment funds, preferred.
  • Proficiency in the taxation of partnerships, preferred.
  • Working towards CPA, CFP, Masters in Tax, or JD, preferred.

Software and Tools:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat, preferred.
  • Experience with tax research databases, preferred.
  • Proficient in tax compliance process software, preferred.

Language:

N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow instructions as directed by members of the Tax Team.
  • Takes appropriate actions without being asked.
  • Seeks advice of appropriate superiors regarding issues, problems related to compliance.

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

Compensation:

California Range: $84,000 - $107,500

Colorado Range: $80,000 - $95,000

New York City/ Valhalla Range: $80,000 - $105,000

Washington Range: $76,000 - $105,000
