VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a skilled Endocrinologist Physician to join our team. As a Per Diem Physician, you will provide wellness and diabetes management programs to a private client in the Lexington, VA area.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist Physician to provide onsite wellness checkups and identify and work directly with pre-diabetic or early-stage diabetes patients on a multi-week program to help improve their wellness and lifestyle.
Responsibilities:- Provide general wellness checkups and advise/refer patients for follow-up care.
- Develop and implement diabetes management programs based on our program guidelines.
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns, especially around diabetes.
- Educate patients on healthy eating and lifestyle habits.
- Educate patients on glucose monitoring.
- MD or DO degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience following postgraduate training.
- Current VA license.
- Background in internal medicine, family practice, preventive care, and endocrinology preferred.
- Experience with diabetes management.
- Preventive medicine oriented.
- Patient education driven.
- Proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to commute to Lexington, VA based on the above schedule.
