**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Genetic Counselor to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Virginia Hospital Center. As a Genetic Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, providing essential genetic counseling services to patients and their families as part of the maternal fetal medicine program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct genetic risk assessments and provide counseling to patients and families regarding genetic conditions and birth defects
  • Collaborate and communicate with the maternal fetal medicine team to develop comprehensive care plans for patients
  • Coordinate genetic testing and interpret the results for patients and their families
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers about genetic conditions and available resources
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in genetic counseling

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related field
  • Board certification or board-eligible as a Genetic Counselor
  • Experience in maternal fetal medicine or prenatal genetic counseling preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Knowledge of current genetic testing technologies and resources
