Job Summary:
The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Worker to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 0-5. As a key member of our Youth Development Ministries team, you will ensure the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our young guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a safe and engaging environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's activities and any issues that may arise.
- Supervise volunteers in the nursery, guiding them in their childcare responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Youth Development Ministries Director to develop and implement programs that promote the spiritual, emotional, and physical growth of children.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission of The Salvation Army Central Territory.
- Formal education or training in child development is preferred.
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army Central Territory.
This position requires the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work in a nursery/childcare environment with a moderate to high noise level.
