Position Overview:
- Deliver educational courses in nursing, covering essential topics such as nursing processes, critical thinking, pharmacology, therapeutic communication, mental health, and delegation.
- Provide hands-on clinical, simulation, and laboratory instruction to nursing students.
- Assess student performance in both classroom and clinical environments.
- Employ diverse teaching methodologies to enhance students' critical thinking skills.
- Create instructional materials aligned with course objectives.
- Contribute to the establishment of goals and objectives for nursing courses and assist in the development of course standards.
- Incorporate innovative simulations and technology in the educational process to facilitate effective learning.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain teaching excellence.
- Participate actively in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the systematic program evaluation.
- Stay current in the field of nursing education and maintain expertise in relevant teaching areas.
- Adhere to the responsibilities outlined in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Manage workload assignments based on the needs of the program, including classroom, lab, clinical, and simulation duties.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Nursing and valid licensure or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- A minimum of two years of full-time nursing experience or its equivalent within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of full-time teaching experience in a higher education setting.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000, with actual compensation commensurate with education and experience, in accordance with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
