Carmel Hills Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Director of Nursing Services. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of physicians and total needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Supervise and direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State, and Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Participate in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.
- Clinical Operations
- Conduct the nursing process – assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation – under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.
- Ensure delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage, absence of odors, general cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal resident functions.
- Admissions and Resident Care
- Participate in all admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents before admissions, as needed.
- Coordinate plans for the total care of each resident which comply with physician's orders, governmental regulations, and facility resident care policies.
- Staff Development and Communication
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
- Participate in the development and implementation of staff training programs to ensure compliance with Company standards and regulations.
- Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
- Five years in long-term or acute healthcare preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
