About the Role:

O&G Industries, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled Custodial Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Southbury. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment within our facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other areas to ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for our employees and visitors.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed, and empty and clean trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
  • Supply Management: Restock supplies in bathrooms and common areas to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Quality Control: Monitor cleanliness and sanitation levels across the facility and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop work area.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of janitorial experience.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of methods of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a variety of surfaces.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, kneel, or crouch while performing duties, and work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise.
