Job Summary: As an Electrical Field Service Technician at American Equipment Company, Inc., you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with high and low voltage systems, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission new electrical equipment and systems, including PDP, Junction Boxes, and Terminal Blocks.
  • Install and mount field devices, terminate cables to instrumentation, and connect wiring and electrical circuits.
  • Run conduit and pull wires for high and low voltage systems.
  • Ensure compatibility of components and adhere to safety practices and PPE requirements.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and billing information.
  • Interact with customers concerning repairs and service needs.
  • Maintain an orderly work area and service truck.
  • Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, Electrician, or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Able to reference and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
  • Five or more years of experience in electrical equipment installation and repair.
  • Experience working with a variety of tools, including multimeters and power tools.
  • Basic knowledge of power and control wiring.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including lifting and working in inclement weather.
