Position Title: MRI Technologist

Position Overview:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for capturing, processing, and evaluating MRI images to ensure diagnostic accuracy, thereby assisting Radiologists and Physicians in identifying medical conditions and injuries.


Educational Background and Experience:

Typically requires knowledge acquired through two to three years of higher education in an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. A minimum of one to three years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in operating radiology equipment, applying exposure techniques, and managing patient care is essential. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is mandatory, along with any additional certifications required by law or industry standards, including ARRT (MR) and current BLS certification.


Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in MRI technology is preferred.

Work Schedule:

2:00 PM - 10:30 PM


Physical Demands:

This role requires considerable physical effort, including lifting and positioning patients, as well as prolonged viewing of a VDT screen for more than 75% of the time.


Health Considerations:

Potential exposure to human blood, serum, and other bodily fluids, as well as materials covered under Universal Precautions. There is a risk of TB exposure or working within three feet of patients in a healthcare environment, necessitating the use of a respirator.
