Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Conviva Care Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for administrative duties in addition to providing direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss symptoms and gather information from patients
  • Taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining examination rooms
  • Collaborating closely with Physicians and Nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A successful completion of a Medical Assistant school/training program or certification as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to work at the Conviva Care clinic located at 1911 Roger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Phlebotomy experience
  • MEDICATION/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Value-Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
