Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate operations, including project managers, staff surveyors, technicians, and field operations.
  • Manage personnel, including proposal generation, business development, and master contracts.
  • Prepare work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with scope and timely completion.
  • Prepare client invoices, deliverables, and project-related correspondence.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field required.
  • 15+ years of experience required, with a minimum of 5 years in personnel management and 5 years in business development.
  • Professionally licensed in land surveying in the state of Virginia or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
  • Licensure in other jurisdictions a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead staff, think critically, and provide support to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
  • Ability to prepare and review technical proposals.
  • Successfully oversee the production of ALTA, Topographic, Boundary, utility, and route surveys.
