Job Summary

Hale Kipa is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been identified as having involvement with sex trafficking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage crisis situations effectively and provide emotional support to youth.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each youth.
  • Provide a structured and nurturing environment that encourages youth to participate in daily activities, including chores, meals, and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure accurate intake processes and procedures are followed.
  • Submit required documentation in a timely manner and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with youth who have been abused and/or neglected is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with youth who have been involved in sex trafficking is highly preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to drive the agency van during youth outings.
