Critical Care Nursing Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Critical Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the critical care service line by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This position involves coordination with physicians, pharmacists, and case management departments, serving as a key liaison for critical patients, particularly in time-sensitive situations such as sepsis. The coordinator will facilitate communication among healthcare providers across various settings, including the Emergency Department and critical care units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient care areas as assigned, ensuring timely and effective patient management.
- Assist with triage and coordination of patients in emergency and critical care settings.
- Provide expertise and collaboration with intensivists to enhance patient outcomes.
- Act as a resource for nursing and physician staff within the Intensive Care Unit.
- Promote quality clinical outcomes through process coordination and evidence-based practices.
- Mentor and support patients, families, and healthcare team members, fostering a learning environment.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a critical care healthcare setting.
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- License: Valid RN license in the respective state.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
