Position Overview

The individual in this role will be responsible for upholding a hygienic environment for all personnel and guests, ensuring that all areas are secure and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect all restrooms, offices, event areas, and public spaces.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, washing, buffing, and vacuuming of floor surfaces.
  • Empty waste bins in all locations, including public spaces, restrooms, and meeting rooms.
  • Dispose of all refuse, including bulk waste and special clean-ups.
  • Shampoo carpets as required based on event specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness of outdoor pathways, including entrances and loading areas.
  • Polish and clean all building fixtures, such as lights, glass, stairs, and railings.
  • Sort and manage recycling materials.
  • Wipe down all equipment before and after events.
  • Dust, clean, and vacuum furniture as necessary.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained.
  • Operate housekeeping machinery, including powered tools and chemical dispensers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, with one (1) to three (3) months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both formats.
  • Work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and walking. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Adaptability to changing situations as they arise.
Computer Proficiency

  • Proficient in operating a personal computer.
