Registered Nurse Med Surg PCU Float

Overview
HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. As a valued member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the hospital's mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
Requirements
- Current Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within six months of hire.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within six months of hire.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
