Registered Nurse Med Surg PCU Float Pool Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our medical-surgical and telemetry/progressive care environments. As a member of our Float Pool team, you will have the opportunity to work in various units, gaining valuable experience and expertise in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- A nursing diploma or ASN, with a BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting, with a strong preference for those with critical care experience.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification, with a 6-month grace period given from hire date.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, with a 6-month grace period given from hire date.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
