About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Inova Fairfax Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and operating radiological equipment to capture accurate diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Assist in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
  • Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
Requirements
  • Certification - American Registered Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
  • Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start.
  • Experience - Two years of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology.
  • Education - Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program.
