Emergency Department Operations Manager

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced and skilled Emergency Department Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our Emergency Department.
Job SummaryThe Emergency Department Operations Manager will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in our busy Emergency Department. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative staff to identify and implement process improvements, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop strategies to enhance patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the Emergency Department support staff, including Patient Transporters and Support Associates.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective patient flow through the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to address them.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to promote positive outcomes and resolve conflicts.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
