The Goddard School of Plainfield is in search of a reliable Child Care Nutrition Specialist who will also serve as a Transportation Coordinator. This role is essential in fostering a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children. The individual will collaborate closely with the entire team to ensure the well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
The Child Care Nutrition Specialist will be tasked with:
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals in compliance with health regulations;
- Understanding and adhering to policies related to food service and employment;
- Communicating effectively with staff, children, and parents;
- Managing emergency situations, including assisting with evacuations;
The following duties are integral to this position:
- Ensuring safe food handling and preparation for all meals served to children;
- Complying with all relevant laws and regulations regarding food safety;
- Delivering meals to classrooms punctually;
- Providing appropriate meal substitutions for children with dietary restrictions;
- Assisting the Assistant Director with food order management;
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment;
- Washing, sterilizing, and storing kitchenware;
- Exhibiting a professional and friendly demeanor;
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills;
- Being highly dependable;
- Possessing the ability to operate a small school bus;
