Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on metallurgical assessments in a fast-paced lab environment, executing tests on various metals and accurately documenting findings.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced metallurgical analyses with minimal oversight, focusing on routine and complex evaluations.
  • Utilize light optical microscopy for detailed examinations, including microstructure characterizations and hardness profiling.
  • Interpret and apply engineering specifications and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Operate advanced laboratory equipment, including specimen preparation tools and scanning electron microscopes.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff and other departments to resolve technical inquiries.
  • Maintain certifications in practical testing methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical or materials testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory management software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple tasks in a high-energy setting.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder status is required.
