Job Title: Product Manager

Join the State of Minnesota team as a Product Manager and play a critical role in developing policies, providing essential services, and working to improve the well-being and quality of life for all Minnesotans.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that will have the option of teleworking up to three (3) days per week. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for representing market needs and marketing a group of Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) Minnesota Justice Information Services (MNJIS) business and information products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive product strategy and represent BCA customers in determining product maintenance and support priorities
  • Represent BCA customers in determining product release plans
  • Maintain a close relationship with the criminal justice information services market
  • Work proactively to ensure that product innovation and market needs are fully covered
  • Develop product positioning and innovative marketing programs to drive demand for products
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of advanced professional experience that includes state, regional, and project level planning
  • Professional experience in working with criminal justice data systems/applications, managing a program or team of people, identifying business requirements for existing or future products, and creating and presenting business documents
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills sufficient to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile Software development methodology
  • Experience working in a law enforcement agency
  • Degree in criminal justice, public administration, information technology or related field
  • Experience managing software tools/products
Additional Requirements

This position requires successful completion of a background investigation, which includes a criminal history check, reference checks, driver's license verification, fingerprinting, and a drug screen.
