Job Description
As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy Technician at our Nampa Cancer Institute Lab, you will primarily work as an in-clinic phlebotomist (75% of the time) and support the RN and MA team with rooming, vitals, orders, and other tasks when needed. You will also coordinate and partner with the clinical care team to support all aspects of patient care while patients are undergoing treatment. This may include chart prep, assisting patients with moving within the clinics, rooming and taking vitals, and setting up for procedures. You will also work on the computer, including items in the work queue, scheduling new patients, scheduling patients for procedures, related appointments, and follow-up visits, as well as completing related paperwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and MA certification within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcare Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), or National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP). New graduates must complete either 6 months of MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship even with MA certification. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
