Job Summary

As a Psychiatric Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes assisting with daily activities, observing and documenting client behavior, administering medications, and collaborating with the clinical team to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily activities, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Observe and document client behavior, including symptoms and mental health status
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor side effects
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have some knowledge of personal hygiene and first aid, typically gained through at least two months of experience performing these functions or a willingness to learn them.
