Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Orthopedic Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for taking radiologic films and providing quality images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
Key Responsibilities- Take radiologic films and provide quality images to physicians
- Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
- Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
