Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the company. This includes making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company's short-term debts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
  • Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Prepare reports
  • Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
  • Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
  • Provide other clerical support necessary
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
  • Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED with a minimum
  • A thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices
  • Ability to maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior customer service skills, and excellent telephone interaction
