The Assistant Director of Nursing is a key member of our leadership team at The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus. This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of our nursing departments, working closely with the Director of Nursing to provide high-quality patient care while meeting organizational and medical staff goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing in promoting efficient operations and effective nursing care
- Co-manage the department and work independently under the guidance of the Director of Nursing
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, The Joint Commission, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Partner with the Director of Nursing and other stakeholders to promote optimum healthcare delivery within budgetary guidelines
Requirements:
- Competence in planning care for patients and providing leadership and organization of day-to-day operations
- Ability to work cooperatively with ancillary services and the interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication and consultation skills
