We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Psychiatric Liaison - Inpatient, you will play a critical role in providing advanced behavioral health knowledge and skills to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and participate in the development of individual treatment plans for inpatients.
- Regularly consult with attending psychiatrists to discuss patients' conditions and provide recommendations for treatment.
- Participate in weekly clinical staffing with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Coordinate discharge planning with the treating psychiatrist to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Focus on the psychosocial needs of patients, including comprehensive aftercare plans and housing arrangements when necessary.
- Conduct family sessions whenever feasible to promote patient-centered care.
- Facilitate legal processes and documentation for involuntary admissions and medication petitions.
