Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience.
  • Work in both clinical and front office functions of the practice, providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of healthcare and patient care support activities.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
Requirements
  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of six months experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and electronic health records
  • Minimum of 6 months healthcare facility clinical experience or clinical education (including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program)
  • Preferred qualifications: completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent, minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, and some knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology
Licensure/Certifications
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
