**Rehabilitation Services - Inpatient**

Elliot Health System's inpatient department is a large multidisciplinary team consisting of physical, occupational, and speech therapists that treat patients across the lifespan in a collaborative model with nursing, case management, providers, and other ancillary services.

We support all units of the hospital, including ICU, CICU, Pediatrics, Medical Surgical, and the ED. Our goal is to provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions that promote optimal functional outcomes and patient-centered goals.

**About the Role**

The speech-language pathologist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing specific treatment programs for patients. This will involve conducting medical record reviews, identifying areas of focus, contraindications, and precautions, and ensuring that orders for therapy are active and appropriate.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop prioritized plans of care that align with patient-centered goals.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions that promote optimal functional outcomes and patient-centered goals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to therapy assistants and other support staff as needed.

**Requirements**

  • Graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology program with a corresponding entry-level degree.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist by the State of New Hampshire governing boards required within one year of hire.
  • Ability to complete BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.
