Job Summary

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for the administration of our server resources, including Active Directory, Exchange, File Share, Hypervisors, Storage Environment, Firewalls, and Microsoft 365. You will also assist in Disaster Recovery planning and management, provide senior-level support for Helpdesk tickets, and manage multiple projects objectives, activities, and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Administration: Responsible for the administration of server resources, including AD, Exchange, File Share, Hypervisors, Storage Environment, Firewalls, and Microsoft 365.
  • Disaster Recovery: Assist in Disaster Recovery planning and management to ensure business continuity.
  • Helpdesk Support: Provide senior-level support for Helpdesk tickets, resolving complex technical issues with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects objectives, activities, and tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • User Support: Provide support to users working from a centralized area within a helpdesk environment.
  • Hardware and Software Configuration: Configure and install computer hardware and software to meet business needs.
  • Training and Development: Develop training materials and procedures, and conduct training sessions for users to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in Windows servers, Hypervisors, network equipment, and tools.
  • Skills: Extensive experience with hardware, Active Directory, PowerShell script creation, Storage Area Networks, and VMware. Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills. Industry certifications extremely desirable.
  • Soft Skills: High level of customer service, ability to work a flexible schedule, and build an environment that promotes and facilitates Diversity and Inclusive Excellence.
