Winter Responsibilities:
Snow removal crew members play a crucial role in ensuring that clients' properties are promptly and effectively cleared of snow and ice, maintaining safety and accessibility throughout the winter season. This role may involve varying hours based on weather conditions, with on-call availability required.
- Removing snow and ice from pathways, driveways, parking areas, and other specified locations using shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment.
- Operating snow plows, salt spreaders, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining vigilance for potential hazards during snow removal tasks.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal duties, especially during heavy snowfall or adverse weather.
- Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Effectively communicating with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous industry experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Knowledge of installation methods for pavers, plantings, walls, etc.
- Valid Minnesota or Wisconsin Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Capability to operate truck and trailer combinations
- DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain one
- Openness to working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- For Foreman position:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven landscape and machinery operation experience
- Prior leadership experience
- Ability to interpret landscape plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure successful installation of garden beds, plantings, sod, seed, artificial turf, fencing, drainage systems, pavers, retaining walls, boulder walls, landscape steps, grading, etc.
- Understand and execute assigned tasks.
- Receive direction and identify needs on-site.
- Perform all duties to company standards.
- Interact with supervisors, project foremen, and clients to maintain clear communication throughout all projects.
- For Foreman position:
- Lead, supervise, manage, and participate in landscape projects from initiation to completion.
- Oversee a team of 1-3 members, job site progress, and materials.
- Ensure reasonable production schedules.
