Job Summary

Michael's On The Hill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for directing and guiding all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the kitchen team.

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our farm-to-table philosophy and exceed guest expectations.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute menus, specials, and events.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are running efficiently and effectively, meeting health and safety standards.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to the culinary team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Contribute to the success of the hotel by communicating with other departments and maintaining a professional atmosphere.
  • Generate new revenue opportunities by suggesting and implementing improvements to menu offerings and kitchen operations.
  • Manage the department's operational efficiency, including managing the departmental budget and ensuring that costs are maintained within budget.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory levels within the budget.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are well-maintained and clean, portraying the quality of our product.
  • Plan for upcoming business volumes and ensure that the kitchen is prepared to meet guest demands.
  • Update payroll daily and submit bi-weekly reports to the payroll department.
  • Maintain a high level of Sheraton Brand standards.
